25th anniversary of Isabella Sinclaire — Disdain

I’ve only shot with a handful of photographers. They were the chosen few and I can count them on both hands and this shoot is one of the reasons why. When I started advertising, I got solicited by dozens of photographers. Everyone wanted to shoot me. But mostly men. Although this image is one of my favorites, it was also by a male photographer who kept grabbing his crotch to adjust his erection under his pants. Eluding to the fact that I was doing that to him and I should also “take care of the problem”. My reaction was utter disdain, as you can see from my expression in this image. I was not flattered. It didn’t excite me to see him excited by me. It made me feel icky, as I’m sure many models/fetish models can relate to. So after this shoot, I stopped letting people shoot me unless I hired them. If I hired them, the idea was that they would have a deeper sense of professionalism. And it worked. The only photographers I’ve shot with in the past 20 years have been people I personally considered friends and people I became close with before the camera was ever pointed at me. The plan worked because I have never had an experience like this one. And luckily, it was only once.
